Culture Night

The Loch Garman band will be performing in Selskar Abbey Wexford for Culture Night this Friday 21 Sep at 8pm.

Come and enjoy a programme of popular film music from James Bond, Out of Africa, Star Wars, Saving Private Ryan, Games of Thrones, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Magnificent Seven.

Christmas Concerts

Both the Loch Garman Senior and Youth bands are rehearsing diligently for a busy December and Christmas season.

Now in its fifth year the Loch Garman Youth Band is scheduled to take part in the 'Cracker for Crumlin' at the Clayton Whites Hotel on Sunday afternoon 10th December, where they will join other instrumentalists and singers to provide live music. Also at the event there will be an opportunity to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with story time, a craft fair and much more. All in aid of the Crumlin Children's Hospital.

80th Anniversary Concert - proceeds to MRI Now!

The Loch Garman Band celebrates its 80th anniversary this year.

To celebrate the Band will hold a concert with its High Street neighbour, Wexford Light Opera, on Sunday,1st October 2017 at 7.30pm.

The concert will take place in Rowe Street Church and will be run in aid of MRI Now! the latest fund raising endeavour of the Friends of Wexford General Hospital.
There will be no admission charge: however a retiring collection will be held at the evening end

The Loch Garman Youth Brass Band continues its busy 2017 schedule by taking part in 11:30 am mass on Sunday 23rd April 2017 at Clonard Church.

The LGYBB has been involved recently in fund-raising for two youth-focused projects. Firstly performing in concert in Bride Street Church on 30th March to assist the 13th Wexford Scout Troop’s new building fund and then last week on 5th April, the Youth Band took part in an evening recital at the Mercy School, John’s Road for its special needs facilities.

Dominic Kiernan RIP

Former Mayor Dominic Kiernan who passed away last week, had a special relationship with the Loch Garman Band.

In recognition of the Bands success in the 1997 European Championships which were held in the Barbican Centre London, Dominic hosted a special Civic Reception in its honour.
